Jack was born in London in 1987, and is currently studying Fine Art at Reading University. His work ranges from drawing, graffiti, painting to large scale mixed media pieces. His work often uses polarity, using binary idea’s to illustrate one. With concurrent themes ranging from Order-Chaos, Concept-Object, and Visible-Sayable.
The Rorschach prints are currently at the front of his image making, as they encompass the chaotic nature of creation perfectly whilst their symmetry giving a false pretence to order. There simplicity allowing Jack to illustrate various ideas, in an often open ended manner which does not alienate a viewer.
Alongside his fine art practice Jack also carries out commission-based logo and design work for small businesses as well as illustrative work that he produces for Musical artists.
Jack has previously exhibited work with a wide range of gallery’s including the Brent Artists register, The Central Gallery (Reading) and small bars and venues around Reading such as the Iguana Bar, The Global Café, Moondogs and the Cotton Club. He has also won a few prizes for his work from companies such as the Worshipful Company of Painters and Stainers.
Recently Jack has been taking part in and organising art workshops for children in Reading working with Relational Audio Visual Enterprise (R.A.V.E.) and previously with the BBC.
He is currently looking for further projects, exhibitions, competitions, and commission based work.
