' Things floral interest me, especially at the florid end of the spectrum. A pair of my parents' curtains gave me nightmares at the age of 5 and I think that's where it began. During my MA the intersection of pattern, behaviour and habit became a focus. The Victorians had strong ideas of how pattern should behave, especially with regard to wallpaper. I love the notion of wallflowers behaving badly;something slightly subversive going on. Central St Martins commissioned me to make some wallpaper following my Ma show.
 I also print using conventional woodblock techniques with other methods and I paint.
I was part of the Whitenights Studo trail last year and am hoping to be part of it again in 2010.'
